Sand Hill Hymn Sing
A nice crowd attended the December 18th Hymn Sing at Sand Hill UMC. The sun and warm termperatures were most welcome in mid December. Thanks to Debbie Wooten who suggested and coordinated a cookie exchange in Mulligan Hall following the hymn sing.
Thanks to Jerry Hammond for the above photos.
Parking Lot Project
We have raised over $50,000 in donations and with our monthly fundraisers. Because we have done so well so quickly the Trusstees decided to pave the entire lot at a cost of about $55,000. The work was done in early December. Due to the cold weather there were a couple of problems in the section between the church and the hall that will be corrected in the spring.
All of the monthly fundraisers have been successful including a Pampered Chef Party coordinated by Pastor Maleia (see photos on the Photo Gallery page), and an ice cream social coordinated by Belinda Cybak. Ronnie Mumford coordinated a very successful Chicken BBQ in September and Pat Redmen coordinated a successful Quarter Auction in October. The November Soup Supper coordinated by Dan and Jayne Tabler raised over $700 on Election Day.
